Element Selection Guide

Choosing the correct replacement element is a three-variable decision: the element geometry must match the housing's mixing duty, the material must withstand the process chemistry, and the size must fit the existing shell. The SK type's 180°/270° helical twist is the general-purpose default — it handles viscosities from 1 cP to 1,000,000 cP and resists clogging in particulate service. The SX crossed-bar geometry suits medium-viscosity fluids at high flow rates where a balance between pressure drop and mixing precision is required. The SV corrugated-plate element delivers the finest dispersion (1-2 μm) for clean, low-viscosity streams, while the SL single-X design combines mixing with heat transfer for jacketed processes. For agressive chemistry, the material decision overrides geometry: PTFE elements resist strong acids and alkalis up to 260°C, PP elements offer economical resistance to most inorganic media below 80°C, and Hastelloy C-276 covers chloride-rich, oxidizing, and reducing environments where stainless steel fails.

OEM Replacement Compatibility

Every ywmixing element is manufactured to the published envelope dimensions of the original equipment: overall length, element OD, blade pitch, and twist orientation are held within ±0.2 mm so the cartridge drops into existing housings without modification. When ordering a replacement, provide the housing model, nominal bore (DN), overall element length, and connection type — our engineers confirm the match before dispatch. Elements are retained in the housing by the original end clips or split rings, and the twist-orientation marks (red, blue, green stripes) assist correct installation. For critical duty, we supply matched element sets with certified dimensional inspection reports.
