Product Overview

The encrypted SX type SS316L mixing element is the traceable, anti-counterfeit version of the standard SS316L crossed-bar cartridge. Every element is laser-etched with a unique 16-character alphanumeric code that is linked to the mill certificate, the surface-finish report, the dimensional-inspection report, and the factory test record. The code can be verified by the end user via a secure web portal or a smartphone QR scan, which returns the full element genealogy. The encryption scheme is designed for pharmaceutical and validated-process service where full traceability is a regulatory requirement.

Encrypted SX Type SS Mixing Element

Material Properties

SS316L for the encrypted element is the same UNS S31603 specification as the standard SX-SS316L element, with a tighter inclusion rating (ASTM E45 Class A) and a guaranteed absence of mercury, lead, and cadmium contamination. The laser etching is performed with a 20W fiber laser at 1064 nm wavelength, which produces a permanent mark without affecting the surface chemistry (no chromium-depletion layer, no oxide scale). The mark survives CIP/SIP cycles and is legible after 100 autoclave cycles at 121°C.

Compatible Housings

The encrypted element fits the standard ywmixing SX type housing in DN15-DN200, with no modification required. The encryption mark is on the element's central tie-rod, which is accessible through the housing end cover. The end user can verify the element's authenticity by scanning the tie-rod mark with the supplied smartphone app or by entering the code on the ywmixing web portal. The portal returns the full element record, including the mill certificate number, the heat number, the surface finish, and the factory pressure-test result.

Installation & Replacement Guide

Installation is identical to the standard SX element, with the additional step of verifying the encryption mark on the new element before installation. The element is supplied in a tamper-evident bag with a tear-strip that reveals the encryption code. Scan the code with the smartphone app or enter it on the web portal; if the code is valid, the app displays a green 'Verified' badge. If the code is invalid or has already been used, the app displays a red 'Counterfeit' warning and the element should not be installed. The replacement procedure is otherwise identical to the standard SX element (15-25 minutes in the field).

Applications

The encrypted SX element is the standard replacement for pharmaceutical, biotech, and validated-process service. FDA-regulated API plants use the element in DN25-DN100 reactor feed lines where full material traceability is required by 21 CFR 211.180. Bioreactor feed-line service uses the element in DN50-DN150 lines where the supplier qualification per ASME BPE must be demonstrable. Nuclear-service applications use the element where the material traceability must be auditable to ASME Section III. Other typical services include semiconductor wet-bench chemical blending (where metal-ion contamination is regulated under SEMI standards), medical-device manufacturing, and aerospace fuel-blending.
